App maintenance services cover the technical work needed after launch to keep an app working, secure and useful. That includes fixing defects, updating for new operating systems, monitoring performance, patching security gaps and improving features as your product evolves. Good maintenance treats the app as a living product, not a finished project.
Identify application issues before they become larger user-facing problems.
An app does not stay finished. Users, devices, platforms and connected services keep changing, and each change can quietly break something that worked last month.
Real users reach edge cases that testing missed. Unfixed defects lead to crashes, poor reviews and lost sessions.
New Android and iOS versions alter behaviour and permissions. Apps that do not adapt start to misbehave.
More users and data expose slow queries, heavy screens and backend limits.
Payment, maps, analytics and login services update their interfaces. Outdated integrations fail without warning.
Libraries age and new vulnerabilities surface. An unpatched app carries growing risk.
Most maintenance requests fall into a few patterns. These are the ones product teams bring us most often when an existing app starts to slip.
Trace and fix defects that hurt stability and user trust.
Find the screens, calls and queries that slow the experience.
Restore correct behaviour on newer OS versions and devices.
Update libraries and SDKs before they block releases.
Repair broken connections to payments, maps, analytics and other services.
Close known gaps in code, dependencies and data handling.
Meet Play Store and App Store technical requirements for new releases.
Add workflows the business now needs without destabilising the app.
We maintain apps built on the main mobile stacks. If your product needs platform depth, our native app development team supports it. For iOS and Android together, see our ios and android app development company capabilities.
Kotlin and Java applications.
Swift applications.
Cross-platform apps on a single codebase.
Cross-platform apps built on the JavaScript ecosystem.
Existing apps often need more than bug fixes. Our team, the same one behind the Mobile App Development Company you may already know, covers the full post-launch workload across ten areas.
Existing apps often need more than bug fixes. Our team, the same one behind the Mobile App Development Company you may already know, covers the full post-launch workload across ten areas.
Resolve functional issues, crashes, UI problems and technical defects.
Identify performance bottlenecks and improve responsiveness.
Address security issues, dependency updates and protection requirements.
Maintain compatibility as Android, iOS and device environments evolve.
Maintain payment, communication, analytics, maps, authentication and other integrations.
Extend an existing app with new workflows and capabilities.
Improve current interfaces and user journeys based on product requirements.
Support version updates, technical requirements and release processes.
Maintain backend services, databases and supporting infrastructure.
Track application health and respond to technical issues.
Fix existing bugs and technical problems.
Reduce the risk of future failures through updates and technical reviews.
Keep the app compatible with changing platforms, devices, APIs and environments.
Improve existing features, usability and performance as requirements evolve.
We follow the same structured thinking used across our App development lifecycle explained approach, adapted for apps that are already live and serving users.
Review the code, architecture, dependencies and known issues.
List defects, security gaps and technical debt by impact.
Agree priorities, scope and release timing with your team.
Apply fixes, compatibility updates and agreed improvements.
Test changes across devices and manage store releases.
Track stability and performance, then feed findings into the next cycle.
Slow apps lose users quietly. Steady mobile app performance optimization keeps load times, responses and stability in check as traffic, data and features increase.
Spot crash patterns and trace them to their cause.
Find slow screens and interactions that frustrate users.
Review calls that add delay or fail under load.
Improve queries and data structures that slow the app.
Reduce memory, battery and network strain on devices.
Prepare the app and backend for higher traffic and new features.
Locate server-side limits before they affect users.
Watch the services the app depends on for early warning signs.
Security is not a one-time task at launch. Our maintenance work applies the principles in Mobile App Security Best Practices to apps that are already live, where new risks appear over time.
Replace outdated libraries and SDKs that carry known issues.
Review login flows and credential handling.
Check that users can reach only what they should.
Review how the app and backend exchange data.
Check how sessions are created, kept and ended.
Test for weaknesses after changes and updates.
Close identified gaps and verify the fix.
Review how sensitive data is stored and transmitted.

Some apps reach a point where patches no longer help. When that happens, maintenance can grow into larger work. If the change is big enough, we scope it as custom mobile app development built on what you already have.
Add major workflows to a stable app.
Reshape code that blocks new features.
Move an aging app to a newer framework.
Update services that limit speed or scale.
Rework interfaces users find hard to use.
Address deeper causes of slowness.
Rebuild when the cost of patching exceeds the cost of a fresh start.
Many app failures start on the server, not the screen. Supporting the backend matters as much as fixing the interface, especially for apps built on Cloud-based app development foundations.
These are the working reasons, not slogans. Each one describes how the maintenance relationship operates day to day.
Development knowledge carries into ongoing product work, so nothing gets lost in a handoff between vendors.
Maintenance can include meaningful UX improvements, not only technical fixes.
Support for Kotlin, Java, Swift, Flutter and React Native.
Maintenance includes technical health, security and performance review.
Updates, monitoring and enhancements continue after launch.
Share your current app, open issues, technology stack and support needs. We will review them and suggest a clear maintenance approach.
Different apps need different levels of support. Choose the model that matches how often your app changes and how much engineering capacity you need.
| Your situation | Suggested model |
|---|---|
| You need steady upkeep and monitoring | Retainer Support |
| Your app changes weekly and needs dedicated capacity | Dedicated Maintenance Team |
| You have one bug, update or migration to handle | On-Demand Support |
| You want fixes plus a feature roadmap | Enhancement-Based Support |
Maintenance often connects to other work. These services support apps at different stages.
Build new apps for Android, iOS and cross-platform.
Improve interfaces and user journeys.
Add intelligent features to an existing app.
Strengthen the systems behind the app.
Improve release pipelines and infrastructure.
Support and extend Flutter apps.
Launched MVPs that need stability while the team focuses on growth.
Apps outgrowing their first architecture.
Teams needing extra engineering capacity for releases and fixes.
Organisations running several app versions or integrations.
Apps balancing buyer, seller and payment flows.
Real-time apps where downtime costs orders.
Apps handling sensitive user data and steady updates.
Tracking and dispatch apps that rely on live data
Stores where slow checkout affects revenue.
Cost of app maintenance services depends on how much work your app needs, not a flat rate. We scope after reviewing the app, so you see a plan before committing. Here is what changes the price.
Host app plus the anchor service and one or two supporting mini-apps
Multiple mini-apps, partner integrations and a wallet or loyalty layer
Single sign-on, governance, audit trails and multi-region requirements
Tell us about your current app, its issues, performance and security needs, and your enhancement plans. We will set up a structured discussion on the right support model.
